Small Nuclear RNA 64 (snoRNA64): A novel Tumor Biomarker for Pancreatic Cancer

چکیده
The pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which represents over 90% of cancer cases, has the highest proliferative and metastatic rate in comparison to other compartments. This study is designed determine whether small nucleolar RNA, H/ACA box 64 (snoRNA64) associated with initiation progression. Gene expression data from Expression Omnibus (GEO) repository have shown that snoRNA64 reduced primary as compared normal tissues based on statistical analysis Silico analysis. Using qPCR techniques, cell lines include PK-1, PK-8, PK-4, Mia PaCa-2 different levels snoRNA64, including PaCa-2. level correlated line epithelial or mesenchymal characteristics. Cell displaying characteristics such PK-8 show high meanwhile, low snoRNA64. After knocking down expression, markers E. cadherin (E-cad) Cytokeratin-8 (CK-8) are decreased, while Vimentin (Vim), Cytokeratin-19 (CK-19), Metalloprotease -2 (MMP-2), Metalloprotease-3 (MMP-3) activated. Those changes suggest responding knock protocol increase function. Together, may participate transition (EMT) (MET), during metastasis these processes crucial. In addition, be considered a potential diagnostic biomarker for both early invasive stages PDAC. And due its gradual decreases, it barrier tumor

Plectin-1 as a novel biomarker for pancreatic cancer.
PURPOSE We are in great need of specific biomarkers to detect pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) at an early stage, ideally before invasion. Plectin-1 (Plec1) was recently identified as one such biomarker. However, its suitability as a specific biomarker for human pancreatic cancer, and its usability as an imaging target, remain to be assessed. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN Specimens of human PDAC...
متن کاملEvaluation of tumor M2-pyruvate kinase (Tumor M2-PK) as a biomarker for pancreatic cancer
BACKGROUND Expression of the dimeric M2 isoenzyme of pyruvate kinase, termed Tumor M2-PK, is increased in some human cancers. This study evaluates the potential role of pre-operative Tumor M2-PK as a marker of prognosis in patients with pancreatic malignancy. METHODS Seventy-three consecutive patients with a clinical diagnosis of pancreatic or peri-ampullary cancer were enrolled. Their median...
متن کاملA novel messenger RNA signature as a prognostic biomarker for predicting relapse in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) death rate and recurrence rate have remained obstinately high. Current methods can not satisfy the need of predicting cancer relapse accurately. Utilizing expression profiles of 10 GEO datasets (N = 774), we identified 154 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between PDAC and normal pancreas tissue or paracancerous tissue. Next we built a 16-mRNA-based s...
متن کاملFoxM1: a novel tumor biomarker of lung cancer.
FoxM1 is a member of the Forkhead box (Fox) family of transcription factors, which is expressed in actively dividing cells and is critical for cell cycle progression. Increased expression of FoxM1 was found in many tumors including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A more recent study showed FoxM1 is associated with poor prognosis of NSCLC patients through promoting tumor metastasis; elucidat...
متن کاملIdentification of a Novel Tumor-Binding Peptide for Lung Cancer Through in-vitro Panning
Tumor-targeted therapies are playing growing roles in cancer research. The exploitation of these powerful therapeutic modalities largely depends on the discovery of tumor-targeting ligands. Phage display has proven a promising high throughput screening tool for the identification of novel specific peptides with high binding affinity to cancer cells. In the present study, we describe the use of ...
